Mark was recently delighted to appear at the British Music Hall Society ‘Day By The Sea’ event in Eastbourne,UK where he took part in an onstage Q&A
talking about his extensive career to date, his hit records, the tours, starring in London’s West End with musicals and plays, plus his many television appearances from variety, acting and story-telling as well as starring in the cult film “The Haunted House Of Horror”, written and directed by Michael Armstrong with an all-star cast including Frankie Avalon, Dennis Price,Jill Haworth and George Sewell, to name just a few.
There was even time to talk about his learning to walk the tightrope and sing- at- the- same- time when he starred in the stage musical ‘Barnum’.

During the break Mark took part in a ‘Meet And Greet’ with many of the guests at the Royal Hippodrome.

Mark Wynter began his professional career as a recording artist achieving nine top twenty UK single chart hits, including 'Venus in Blue Jeans' and 'Go Away Little Girl', both of which were awarded silver discs for sales of over a quarter of a million records sold.

Later Mark re-invented himself as an actor and in the intervening forty- something years has played the lead in eight West End plays and musicals, appeared in five major Shakespearian roles, fourteen touring musicals, twenty-one plays, in pantomimes, on radio, and on television and film

Icing on the cake!
Mark completed a successful theatre tour for producer Bill Kenwright, starring in Ruth Rendell’s “A Judgement In Stone” adapted for the stage. 
During the plays run in Glasgow, the cast threw a surprise party to celebrate the release of Marks NEW triple CD “Venus In Blue Jeans” on the RPM (Cherry Red) label.
The cake literally had some amazing icing. (See our picture below)

At a celebratory dinner in Buxton, Mark was very surprised and delighted to be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by theatrical impresario Bill Kenwright, who commended Mark for his versatility as an actor and singer in a very successful career spanning 50 years in 2010. This prestigious award was nominated by Bill and Dame Judi Dench.

During 2007/2008 Mark was honoured to be the President of the Concert Artists Association [CAA] following in illustrious footsteps of the great and the good such as Arthur Askey, Leslie Crowther and Roy  Hudd.
